Mr. Vipul Agarwal, Founder and Managing Director of Risansi Industries Ltd., Kanpur, the market leaders and exporters of Progressive cavity type screw pumps and Zero leak Rota type pumps for Sugar, Distillery, Waste water, Chemicals, Slurry, Food, Beverages and other industries, is a Graduate Metallurgical Engineer from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kanpur. Mr. Agarwal founded PUMPS INDIA, (Now known as Risansi Industries Ltd.) in the year 1979 with a technological bent of mind and 100 years of family history as Industrialists in various sectors such as manufacturing of ice, textile, flour and cold chain businesses. His strong belief in continual research and development and in- house manufacturing to maintain premium quality of products has led to the growth of the company and an increased list of satisfied clients.

Mr. Agarwal promotes technological innovation, integrity and cost effectiveness. With his vision, the home grown company now runs as a promising professional organization. He was the first to introduce Progressive Cavity Pumps in Sugar Industry in India and Risansi commands 90% business in Sugar Industry as on date.

Mr. Agarwal also heads the R&D department of Risansi with a team of professionals working continuously on improving the quality and life of our products. Based on newer technologies and client feedback we work on continual improvement in the life of the pump.

With his 40+ years of in-depth industry knowledge, Mr. Agarwal has been helping the company to build cost effective yet efficient range of pumping solutions in various industries like Dairy, Food, Beverages, Sewage, Industrial Effluents, Chemicals, Petrochemicals, Acids, Paper, Sugar, Distillery, Refineries, Shipping etc. Risansi has a futuristic approach towards quality. Mr. Agarwal has studied at The Scindia School, Gwalior and has been an allrounder in all fronts. He has a keen interest in sports and continues to engage in Lawn tennis, Table tennis and Swimming. He plays Chess and is an avid reader. He continues to be associated with IIT-Kanpur for new projects and Research and Developments.

Under Mr. Agarwal's guidance, Risansi also understands its responsibilities towards society and environment. As a part of corporate social responsibility, Mr. Agarwal has ensured education of children of all factory workers and is actively involved in running a centre for old, sick and abandoned cows. He also likes to do organic farming of vegetables, fruits and herbs. He also practices yoga and meditation daily. Mr. Agarwal has also planted several air-pollution controlling plants in the factory premises for the benefit of the staff and environment.

Since his daughter Mrs. Mansi Agarwal is taking over the reins, Mr. Agarwal will focus on upgrading the manufacturing facilities, plant and would like Risansi to be known as a global leader in pumping solutions for viscous, corrosive and abrasive fluids
